The basic method of teaching is the play way method. The formal teaching becomes very monotonous and makes the students repel from the school. Concepts of environmental studies, community helpers, flowers, fruits, vegetables, animals, seasons, a birthday party etc. are taught through experiential teaching.

Here classes are child oriented with emphasis on environment and social awareness. The basic skills in Reading, Writing and Arithmetic are developed. Projects and experience oriented learning is given thrust and pupils learn at their own pace. Formalization of concepts is undertaken with greater emphasis on oral, written and computing skills along with introduction to process skills. Awareness of the environment, role of pupils therein, is emphasized.

Teaching is undertaken through various projects, workshops, etc. and the students are trained to integrate knowledge in the classroom with its applications in their own lives and the society at large. Tests and examinations are held intermittently to help them excel on Board standards.
